Duxmore Suffolks

Matt and Charlotte Legge's flock of pedigree Suffolk sheep was founded in 2005 and have quickly established themselves as a prize winning flock. 

In 2008 Duxmore Suffolks were proud to win the title of "Champion Suffolk Flock" for the South East Branch of the Suffolk Sheep Society.  Since this success the flock has picked up awards for Breed Championships, two interbreed Championships and Champion Stock Ram for the South East.  The flock has also been successful in fatstock showing, picking up the prize for the Champion Butchers' lambs at the Isle of Wight Gilten Market.

The purchase of two exciting new ram lambs at the Suffolk Sheep Societies National Sale in July added fire power to the stud rams and we are pleased with the 2010 lambs these chaps have produced.  We also added ewe lambs in 2009, including 4 half sisters to our Champion Stock Ram.

We aim to breed sheep that are well fleshed, well conformed animals with good growth rates and plenty about them!  We have used bought in and homebred rams and also employed Artificial Insemination, to take advantage of some of the best genetics available to us.

We hope to provide quality rams to both pedigree and commercial flocks and often have ewes and ewe lambs available too.  

We welcome visitors to our flock and are always pleased to speak with fellow enthusiasts at the shows and events we visit throughout the year.
